Waterdrop Remineralization Hot Cold RO Water Dispenser, A2G

My partner and I waited for this model for some time and are still in testing phase. So far everything is great, still adjusting to no kettle setting. Machine runs smoothly and is flawless. Instructions on how to use hot water aren’t most user friendly but we managed to get there. Water is filtered quicker than expected and there are great options for quantities of up to 999 ml at the time. We don’t usually need to stock water/ filter in advance for the two of us only. We ordered additional filters just in case it runs out because the ones with remineralisation tend to be low in stock. Water tastes good and overall we are very pleased with the machine after using it for a week now.

I purchased a Waterdrop WD-A2G reverse osmosis machine back in March of this year to help improve the quality of the water that I am drinking at home. After using a TDS meter to check the quality of our tap water I was shocked at the high level of impurities, it was about 575 and showing red on the guide. They say this is still safe to drink but may not taste so good. No kidding.
So I decided it was time to do something about that as I do drink a lot of water. Firstly I looked at the below sink filters similar to the one Bear Grylls is promoting and I felt the Waterdrop 3 stage filter seemed a better and in my opinion more cost effective solution. So I also purchased one of these and it was fairly easy and straightforward to fit on my cold water inlet. I decided to get this from Amazon as the delivery schedule was literally next day and I am very happy with the results.
The reverse osmosis machine I ordered direct from Waterdrop's website and the service was excellent.
The machine has exceeded my expectations and I am so happy with it. Very easy to setup and I opted for the remineralization filter version, there are two types. This is because some of the naturally occurring minerals in your tap water are very important to your health and the filters are so effective at what they do they also take all the good stuff out unless you get the above mentioned filter which adds minerals back into the water.
You have to prepare the filter to start with by simply following the instructions, it push fits into the top of the machine and there is a lid that you lift off to do this. It takes a few times of running the water through until it gets to 100% on the digital display on the front. It has a tank at the back which you lift out and fill to the max line, then place back on and replace the lid. The pump then kicks in and forces the water through the filter which in turn fills up the jug you use to pour out any water if you so wish. Alternatively you can use the touch screen on the front to dispense water.
What I love is how many different temperature settings it has and the cool one sets the temperature to what I consider to be perfect to drink straight away. Some people say it isn't cold enough and place the jug into their fridge which is fine also but I find that water is just a bit too cold to drink straight from the fridge.
I also drink coffee and love that I can then switch instantly to either 85 degrees or 95 degrees for hot drinks. You can also set the amount in mls it dispenses, I have this set to 250mls for my coffee cups, starts at 150,250,350,500,999ml but you can also just press the button again to stop it.
Now I should also mention that mine developed a fault at the start of July, the cooling feature stopped working. I contacted their support by email and they answered very quickly and over a period of 2 weeks we ran through quite a few tests to try and resolve and identify what the issue was and rule out possible issues. During this time I liaised with a nice lady called Karina who couldn't have been more helpful and apologetic as she knew I was quite upset when none of the solutions seemed to help.
They then didn't take long to arrange a brand new replacement to be sent which arrived really quickly and I am pleased to say is working perfectly. So I have no qualms at all about leaving a five star review and look forward to many more years of great tasting water and great service from Waterdrop. Thank you Karina!

For years my wife would only drink bottle water and then only certain ones. We got this to try and see if we could save the bottles and jug filters. I must say she is very happy with the taste of the water, that is a big tick. The cool function of the unit is fine and works well. The hot water function is ok for coffee but the 95deg for tea is not. It does reach 95 but only half way during the filling of a cup so the average is 80deg. Ok for coffee but not tea. That is the reason for four stars. I have to keep my kettle.

I've been really pleased with the Waterdrop A2G. One of the things I love most is the convenience of having both hot and cold filtered water available instantly, without the hassle of installation. The water tastes fresh and clean, and I do think the remineralisation feature makes a noticeable difference compared to some other filtered waters I've tried.
